Who tuned in to the 2014 MTV Movie Awards last night? For those of you who did, I am sure that you have your fair share of opinions about the show. The fact that funnyman Conan O’Brien was selected as host gave us high hopes, and he did not disappoint. O’Brien opened the show on a hilarious note, which set the stage for a positive and entertaining night. The show had an ample amount of highlights, which included a superior performance by Rihanna and Eminem and a touching tribute to the late, great Paul Walker. Oh yeah, and we could never forget about a shirtless Zac Efron. It was a great night for viewers at home as we watched Efron’s shirt succumb to the hands of Rita Ora while he accepted the award for “Best Shirtless Performance.” Our appreciation knows no bounds, Rita Ora. Topping Efron’s shirtless stint was a challenge, but a few fully clothed celebrities managed to catch our eye with their red carpet fashion.
Shailene Woodley, the leading lady of the Hollywood Blockbuster “Divergent,” was a red carpet hit in her olive green leather crop top and skirt by Balmain. She paired the leather combo with some strappy black Jimmy Choo heels and a pair of simple gold hoops that remind us of the Kendra Phillip Gold Penelope Earrings. Woodley definitely donned our favorite look of the night.
Our second favorite look of the night belonged to Disney Channel and “Dancing With The Stars” alumnus Zendaya. The up-and-coming fashionista wore a leggy neon floral print dress by Ungaro. She paired the look with some black heels by Christian Louboutin and chandelier earrings. Celebrities sure seem to love the spring neon trend as was apparent on the red carpet. The always gorgeous Jessica Alba made yet another best dressed list as she paired a bright neon yellow Kenzo skirt and a white crop top by Piece D’anarchive finishing the look off with a pair of Jimmy Choo’s. Alba’s midriff-baring ensemble was a head turner, but the jewelry she chose to wear was our favorite part. The “Sin City” actress wore two sets of earrings. The main focus of Alba’s jewelry selection was a pair of dangling bar earrings, which she complimented with a second set of gold cross stud earrings. We were enamored by this unlikely pairing, and she takes the cake for our favorite celebrity jewelry of the night.
