Anyone who considers themselves a fashion connoisseur has heard of the CFDA Awards. The Council of Fashion Designers of America, better known as the CFDA, hosts an annual awards ceremony that honors “extraordinary design excellence” in all areas of fashion. The awards ceremony recognizes some of the most famous high fashion designers and gives them credit for their achievements in fashion. You may be asking yourself, “why are they talking about the CFDA Ceremony all of a sudden?” Well, we are choosing to talk about this exciting night in fashion because the 2014 CFDA Awards are less than a month away! The annual awards ceremony, which will feature a collaboration with Swarovski, is being held on June 2nd. Among the list of distinguished nominees are some of our favorites such as Marc Jacobs, who is nominated for the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award; Alexander Wang, who is nominated for both the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award and the Accessories Designer of the Year Award; and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen who are both nominated for the Accessories Designer of the Year Award for their brand, The Row.
