It’s kind of funny to note that when typing the name “Hilary” in Google, Duff pops up before Clinton. That’s got to say something about the society in which we live. Although Mrs. Clinton has been making waves in the political arena recently, from her campaign to run on the Democratic ticket for President to her recent appointment as President Obama’s secretary of state, Ms. Duff has been making pop-cultural waves by announcing that she is set to star in a new TV show, release a new album, and star in a remake of the movie Bonnie & Clyde. All the while, she’s been fending off paparazzi and throwing down with the original Bonnie, Faye Dunaway.
Thank goodness all of these endeavors aren’t wreaking havoc on Hil’s fashionable style. The singer/actress/producer/entrepreneur (oh, did we forget to mention her “With Love… Hilary Duff” perfume and various clothing lines?) was spotted looking phenomenal while out shopping in LA on Wednesday. It was such an effortless look, too, in a colorful sundress, hair thrown back in a messy bun, and big hoop earrings.
We really like the shape of her earrings. In fact, we’ve been spotting Hilary sporting heavy-bottomed hoops quite a bit lately. The pair she was seen wearing on Wednesday are probably our favorites though. The earrings are like fat crescent moons and are so exotic looking. Fortunately for our style-maven Max & Chloe blog readers, we can suggest a few choices to reproduce Hilary’s look. Jules Smith Hoop Dreams Gold Earrings remind us of gold lace. The intricate design of these gorgeous hoops will make onlookers want to come in for a closer look.
Melinda Maria Doughnut Hammered Earrings include crystal cubic zirconia stones for an added element of shimmer. We also love that these are hammered gold, which reflects light differently than jewelry with smooth gold. It gives it more of a glimmer similar to moving water, as opposed to a high shine. Little differences like this is something that definitely strikes our fancy.
Lastly, we have to offer Anna Beck Gold Plated Large Open Disk Earrings. Remember how we mentioned earlier that we like this style of earrings because they are exotic looking? Well these really are! Handmade in Bali, these earrings will stun as they gleam from your earlobes. These earrings are speckled with tiny gold circles that produce a brilliant shine.
So when it comes to making a splash with large, intriguing accessories like Hilary Duff, take some advice from her 2003 song. “Why not?”
