And the Grammy goes to…

We’re getting down to the big shows of awards season. The Grammy Awards took place last night and the Oscars are just around the corner. Around here, we really love awards season because the shows are absolutely chock full of astounding fashion and new styles for us to imitate. In the fashion department, the Grammys definitely did not disappoint.

Straight off the bat, we saw incredible things coming down the red carpet. Anyone catch mommy-to-be MIA in her big, blue, poufy dress and matching sneakers. Her dress was so full that, when looking from the front, you almost couldn’t tell that she’s about to pop! New BFFs Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift were nearly inseparable, walking the red carpet together and even sharing the Grammy stage with one another for a song Swift penned.

Carrie Underwood was gorgeous after accepting her award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her song Last Name. Not only did she have the glow of a Grammy validated artist, but we were also green with envy of her chartreuse dress! (OK, OK, that was a cheap pun, but we couldn’t resist.)

Chartreuse is one of those colors that can be difficult to accessorize. However, as Carrie proved, taking the easy way out can sometimes work more in your favor than anything else. Her stunning clear drop earrings were the perfect pieces for her dress. First of all, they were clear, hence go with literally anything. Secondly, because they were simply clear, faceted stones, they were able to catch light and throw it on all different directions, creating a dazzling effect.

At Max & Chloe, we have exactly what you need to recreate Carrie Underwood’s look. What’s better is all of the choices are under $100! Blu Bijoux Clear Crystal Earrings are not exactly like Carrie’s earrings because the crystals are surrounded by gold, but they are best option for ladies on a super tight budget. Deborah Grivas Designs Square Crystal Donut Earrings are more similar to Carrie’s earrings, and only cost $7 more!

If you’re budget isn’t quite as stringent, you might want to opt for Nina Nguyen Bright Stars in Gold Fill Clear Earrings. At $87, these will definitely not break the bank, but you may break some hearts while wearing them. Inexpensive, versatile, chic: what’s not to love about these earrings?

Oh, and ladies, with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, you might want to “accidentally” leave Max & Chloe open to your favorite piece of jewelry as a special hint to your special someone.
