While the world obsessed over twerking – hey, she was just being Miley, right?! – here at Max & Chloe we were pouring over the VMA red carpet fashions. There were tons of notable trends in Brooklyn last Sunday night – and quite a few questionable ones (really Katy Perry, a grill?)
Some of our favorite starlets really dressed to impress for the annual ceremony, but we were particularly fond of two young stylistas (who also happen to be BFFs): Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, both of whom rocked long dark blue dresses and statement earrings. Both ladies walked away that night with a shiny new Moonman award – Best Female Video and Best Pop Video, for Swift and Gomez, respectively.

Selena Gomez looked gorgeous in a full length Versace gown that appeared to have been torn down the front in a peek-a-boo fashion. T. Swift looked tres chic Sunday night. The girl has a knack for gradually maturing her look without coming off like she’s trying too hard. For the VMAs, she rocked a figure-hugging, floor-length Herve Leger dress. We’re obsessed with the way she did her hair – in retro, old Hollywood glam waves – and her stunning black drop earrings. We have quite a few pairs on our site that resemble Taylor’s, but we picked out two here that we think are especially lovely…
