London Fashion Week 2013: Street Style Special

New York Fashion Week has come, whipped through Manhattan and gone. There were wins, questionables and musts that we’re dying to don ASAP. In the meantime, and while we’re still spinning from the northeastern fashion binge, London Fashion Week is up next and in full swing across the Pond. Since Jewelry Dose is always on the pulse of what’s happening around the world in fashion, we couldn’t help but snoop around some London street style shots.

We gladly stumbled upon Here In The City’s savvy round-up of show-goers’ noteworthy (and very British) looks. We’ve picked out our top faves, with tips for recreating each royally inspired taste on your own.

That is some serious winged eyeliner (and we dig it)! This fashionista paired her wild wings and oxblood lips with an otherwise entirely elegant ensemble. Keeping tones rich and jeweled, she accented her pearlescent floral-print frock with iridescent cascading pearl earrings. A stunning statement, to say the least. Create your own bauble balancing act with these Ben-Amun crystal pearl pear chandelier earrings.

The only thing that can stand up to a deathly but incredibly modish spiked handbag is an oversized bone skull ring, of course. Channel your inner medicine woman and include Charles Albert’s Tiger Eye medium skull ring in your classy concoction. Round out the voodoo-chic look with hammered metal drop earrings that lend an ethnic edge (try Ben-Amun’s hammered gold circle and square clip earrings) and bone bangle bracelets like Gigi Chic’s hippie crystal and bone beaded bracelet set.

This woman’s rule of thumb seems to be “mix raw materials with other raw materials,” and we couldn’t agree more. Decked head-to-toe in black leather, she chopped up her slick strong style with organic-looking bangles and natural metals. Do the same in Karen London’s far off and bliss bangles.
