Our love of travel inspired our newest feature here on Jewelry Dose – “Wanderlust” a feature that spotlights style, city to city. Whether you live in our featured region or you’re merely visiting, it’s necessary to take note of the distinct attitude and style of each city. After all, no one wants to look like a tourist!
So cosmogirl, let us show you how to keep your style simple, whether you’re in Paris or Prague, L.A. or London - one blog post at a time.
Our first feature focuses on one of our favorite cities and events – Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City, for Spring 2014. From September 5-12, the Big Apple is buzzing with designers, models, media and bloggers from all around the world who are gathering to get the first look at future trends. Whether you’ll be there in person or in spirit, let these fall accessory trends be your packing guide:
Statement Necklaces: One of our personal favorite styles here at Max & Chloe is the chunky chain necklace. The Karen London Mixed Metal Demi Chain Bib Necklace and the Luv AJ Ombre Chain Necklace are two perfect choices for Fashion Week in New York because of their urban flair and versatility; both chains feature gold and silver metal to match almost all of your accessories. Rock a statement necklace at the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit this weekend - no one will be able to deny that you’re the queen of the concrete jungle!
Layered Rings: In case you haven’t noticed the trend – more is better. You can buy a stacking ring set or mix and match different designers! Try pairing the Le Mos Gold FM Ring, featuring a chic double-ended pyramid with the Bing Bang Teardrop Mixed Ring Set, complete with five mixed metal rings. These stackable pieces will really pop when you sip your martini at Employees Only.
Oversized Cuffs: The final thing you’ll need to complete your set of New York Fashion Week accessories is a matching oversized cuff. Choose from the Jennifer Elizabeth Large Lust Cuff to add some silver, or the Melinda Maria Gold and Black Onyx Slice Cuff Bracelet for a more eclectic look. Both would make a beautifully bold statement while you’re checking out Orlando Bloom in his first Broadway Musical—Romeo and Juliet—or taking an after dinner stroll through the Village!
