This spring, celebrities and smart shoppers traded ballet flats, peeptoe sandals, flip-flops, and wedges, all survivors of fads from other seasons, in for the latest trend: gladiator-style sandals. The sandals came in many different styles, but there were some commonalities. The soles of the sandals had either virtually no heel or only an inch and a half.
