It’s never a problem finding beautiful necklaces. Sometimes, though, it’s difficult to know how that necklace would look on us. Because we’re always looking out for your best interests (and fashion sense!), we’ve decided to present you with a necklace length guide.
Choker. The Choker falls about the length of your collarbone. It is classy and can be worn with any apparel. Length: 14-16 inches.
Collar. The Collar necklace fits nicely around your neck. It is very graceful and elegant. With an evening dress or sophisticated V-neck attire, the collar is simply remarkable. Length: 12-13 inches.
Princess. The Princess length is one of the most popular styles. It goes nicely with crew and high neckline shirts and also very low necklines. Many of these necklaces are adorned with pendants because the length is perfectly suitable to support the weight evenly. Length: 17-19 inches.
Matinee. The Matinee necklace is sophisticated and dressy. It looks great on women who are average in height. Length: 20-24 inches.
Opera. The opera necklace length is gorgeous and refined. It can be worn in one strand for a polished look or doubled as a two-strand choker length piece. The style is very “flapper”-like. This necklace is very flattering for shorter women because it elongates the body. Length: 28-34 inches.
Rope or Lariat. The Rope, or Lariat, necklace length is flirtatious and exudes indescribable elegance. This style can also be doubled into a shorter, double necklace. This length looks great with any attire, especially formal apparel. Length: Rope, approx. 40+ inches. Lariat, 45+ inches.
Now that you are armed with all this extra necklace knowledge, it’s time to experiment and add different lengths to your wardrobe!
