In 1926, the company was founded by Carlo Zucchi and Leopoldo Gori and became the first jewelry manufacturing company in the city of Arezzo, Italy, located in Tuscany. In 1934 Gori and Zucchi received the first official hallmark of the province, 1AR, which in turn evolved into the name of the company: Uno A Erre Italia Spa.

In the following years, succeeding generations of goldsmiths, technicians, designers and artists have developed the company into one that is unique within its industry in the world today.

Today, Unoaerre jewelry is sold throughout the world and the name Gori & Zucchi is known by the entire jewelry industry. Embodying the values of trust, reliability, quality, integrity and innovation has made it the market leader in its field. Unoaerre, has subsidiaries in France and Japan, and offices and distributors throughout the world. In Italy, the company produces more than 70% of all wedding rings, the serving the market with 500 direct retail shops and the support of a network of 150 distributors.

In 1998, the Gori & Zucchi Museum was opened, the first in Italy entirely dedicated to the art of jewelry making. The museum encapsulates the essence, the history and the development of the company, honoring its links to the cultural and artistic values of the Arezzo tradition. The Gori & Zucchi Museum brings the past to life and creates a pathway through the company's history - from industrial archaeology up to the latest creations.

A special part of the museum is dedicated to the unique pieces of the great sculptor, Gió Pomodoro, who in 1995-1996 created his collection in Unoaerre laboratories. Those precious pieces were shown in the world’s most famous show rooms: in New York, Tokyo, Venice, Vienna and more.
